Oh my oh my, where to start with this one. Probably one of the most 360 scope project I’ve done. Nature & Découvertes, a nationally famous retailer did a call for tenders to select which agency will accompany them to freshen up their brand.
The agency I was working at — Frénésie, Paris — had been an agency focusing on event branding and still had everything to prove in larger branding projects.
I am very grateful to have been part of this project from the very start, the joy of winning such a big competition, and then carrying the client through workshops and tackle concepts, designs, and finally land on a 200 page guidebook.
The stakes of this rebrand were to:
- Strengthen the bond of attachment with their current customers ;
- Extend the scope by creating desirability with a younger audience, a public waiting to be conquered ;
- Adopt a modern posture to reaffirm and clarify their leadership in terms of commitments.
Our initial proposal and concepts from the call for tenders evolved through workshops and refining what was the best for both the client and the brand.

I created a handcrafted icon library for Nature & Découvertes. Focusing on expressing the quirky and playful side of the brand.
They were all initially hand-drawn using a thick marker on big sheets of paper, extracting how we could represent each required icon with an innocent eye. They were then redrawn on top of it using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, making sure to keep some accidents part of the drawings.
In total, more than 80 custom icons were produced.
Head of Advertising Benjamin Taieb supervised the production of Nature & Découvertes' ad campaign for 2023's end-of-year holiday season, kick-starting the release of the refreshed branding.
A total of three 30-second short films were created, leveraging the brand's new tone of voice and graphic assets.
